A moped is classed as 50cc or under with a maximum design speed of 50km/h (31mph). A "light motorcycle" is between 75cc and 125cc but not necessarily capable of 100km/h (62mph). You can take the test on a bike in either category, but bear in mind that the full licence is fairly restrictive. Also bear in mind that passing the test on an automatic would only give you full entitlement to automatics.
Most riders would find the standard licence more useful in the long term. However, this doesn't mean we exclude you if you want to go for either of these options! Please get in touch if you need more information. |
