The huge brick cone of the Old Glassworks at Lemington is easy to spot. If you are heading from Newcastle along the Scotswood Road towards Newburn you can see it in the distance as you pass under the A1 Western By-pass after the B&Q roundabout. Immediately before the cone, turn left down the hill into Glassworks Business Units. Coming from Throckley in the opposite direction, obviously turn right immediately after the cone.

If you're coming by public transport, Lemington is well served by buses. The 7, 8, 21, 22, 49 and 50 all stop within two minutes walk of the Old Glassworks. The 22 runs frequently from Central Station. Get off at Tyne View and walk straight down the hill. Phone Traveline on 0870 6082680 for details and bus times.
